Sketching for botanical composition
Tutor – Emma Scheltema
Want to break free from copying reference images to design your own botanically accurate paintings? In this workshop Emma will go through methods of drawing from observation of live botanical specimens, and then use the knowledge built up from drawing the plant to design and create unique botanical compositions for your artwork. The focus will be on methods of composition that will allow you to visually ‘pose’ your plant specimen - breaking free of photos or less than perfect live specimens- whilst maintaining botanical accuracy and realism.
All materials provided, but if you have favourite sketching tools, feel free to bring them along.
Min - 5, max - 12
Cost: $20 - to book please go to Eventbrite
