On Sunday 29 May we are joining botanic gardens, arboretum and other gardens across Australia and New Zealand to celebrate the vital work botanic gardens do for plant conservation.
- 10.30am-12pm take a walk with tree expert Mike Wilcox to learn about some remarkable trees here at the Gardens
- 12.30-1.30pm learn about choosing trees for Auckland gardens on this guided walk with manager Jack Hobbs
- 1.30-2.30pm join curator Bec Stanley for a fascinating insight into the world of plants that grow up trees (epiphytes)
FOR THE KIDS 11am and 1.30pm fun tree-trail scavenger hunts 10am-2pm tree-themed art activities
MEET Auckland Council’s Biodiversity team for expert advice on biodiversity in your own backyard
