Exploring engineering through folds of paper

MOTAT's summer learning in the Gardens

MOTAT has returned to the Garden’s for another summer of outreach and learning. The theme this is year an exploration of engineering through the folded designs of origami.

The specially equipped and decorated container arrived on site in the second week of December and will be open on selected days during the summer. Botanic Garden volunteers will guide visitors in the construction of origami flowers.

If the module is not staffed visitors can still access the activities via a pack at the Visitor Centre which includes origami paper and instructions.

Each activity sheet also comes with a voucher for 25% off the entry price to visit MOTAT.
