We are looking north to the Gondwana Arboretum where ancient trees from the old supercontinent of Gondwana are slowly growing to their giant size. In the distance the sky is blue with drifts of clouds while in the foreground is a piece of scultpure of a brown bird like form in corteen steel.

Discover ancient conifers, cycads and ferns in the Gondwana Arboretum and travel back to the primeval forests of 150 million years ago with Mere our Plant Collections Team Leader.

Meet at the Visitor Centre at 10.30am (please note this is half an hour earlier than originally advertised to allow time to walk to and from the Arboretum).

Bring walking shoes, a hat, drink, and binoculars (if you have them).
