School holiday activities

Fun (and free) ways to keep the kids busy during the holidays

Bored kids?  Come to the Gardens for free family fun!

We run both bookable and drop in activities for a variety of age groups during the school holidays. Most activities are free but spaces for bookable activities are limited, and bookings are a must. To see what’s on these holidays, visit our events calendar or check out our Facebook page.

For those who prefer to do their own thing, there’s always plenty to do here!  Ask our staff at Huakaiwaka visitor centre for ideas, or print one of our kids discovery activity sheets

Go Wild!
Check out the digital animations created by 15 students at the Gardens.
