Make your vows among the beauty of Auckland Botanic Gardens. We have a range of stunning spaces available for hire, from the purpose-built Glade set among subtropical blooms to smaller sites with water views or cottage garden charm.
All weddings at The Gardens require an application, permit and payment prior to the event.

A circular pergola at the highest end of the Rock Garden offers views down a sloped lawn to the lakes. This secluded area is framed by mature trees and looks great year-round. This is our shadiest wedding site, suitable for up to 70 guests. |

The brick-path Herb Garden creates a gorgeous backdrop for weddings ceremonies, with lovely, scented herbs and small shelter. This intimate garden looks great year-round and is our smallest wedding site, suitable for up to 25 guests. |

The Rose Garden lawn is situated above reflective waters and surrounded by themed rose gardens. Open for hire November to March, this garden provides a colourful display that offers a beautiful backdrop to any function, suitable for up to 200 guests. |

The Glade is our exclusive purpose made outdoor wedding and function space set among subtropical plants that provide all year-round colour and style. The Glade has a large shelter and stylish courtyard. The site is suitable for up to 120 guests. |

The Edible Walled Garden is sheltered within formal brick walls. This potager-style garden with an open pergola provides an elegant space for intimate functions. This site can be booked for exclusive use and is suitable for up to 50 guests |
Catering your wedding function

Cafe Miko are available to cater for any weddings, on site conferences, meetings, or events as well as providing a great retail menu within their café. Café Miko itself can be hired after daily café business closes and is a fantastic venue for functions. Sited within the Huakaiwaka visitor centre it too provides panoramic views over the Gardens. Let Café Miko take the stress out of organising food for your event. From wedding reception dinners, lunches, high teas, buffet options and canapes, our skilled team can provide a range of catering options for you to choose from.
